Salary and Benefits :
In accordance with the support staff collective bargaining unit agreement. $18.00/hour No benefits.

Schedule:

This is a split position between Samuel Staples Elementary School and Helen Keller Middle School working under the direction of the Multi-Language Learner teacher.

Requirements/

Qualifications:

* College degree OR high school diploma with evidence of having passed the Para Pro exam

* Experience working with young children and adolescents ranging in grade levels from kindergarten to grade 8.

Ideal Candidate Possesses:

* Ability to work directly with students from grades kindergarten to grade 8 who are learning to speak English, with oversight provided by the Multilingual Learner teacher.

* English language acquisition. Knowledge of a language other than English is not required.

* Ability to work with students one-on-one or in small group settings

* Ability to communicate with and relate well to young children and adolescents
