Samuel Staples Elementary School has several openings for special education para educators. Available commencing with the  school year.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 6.25 hours per day when school is in session for students and one day prior to students returning to school after the summer break (181 days per school year).

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with young children in a school setting a plus. Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Must be highly motivated and self-directed.

Salary and Benefits:
Per collective bargaining unit agreement. Comprehensive benefits. Salary in range of $18.00/hour to $19.87/hour, or commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
Assist student in one-to-one instruction and/or provide support for special education students in the general education classroom. Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher. Collect data regarding student performance in the resource room and/or general education classroom.
