Full-Time Special Education Teacher | Onsite | $43–$47/hr
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle and high school students in an onsite, full-time role. This position serves a dynamic caseload of approximately 10–15 students at any given time.
The caseload primarily includes students identified with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments
. Services are delivered primarily within the general education setting, requiring strong collaboration skills and the ability to support inclusion-based instruction.
The ideal candidate is student-centered, highly organized, and experienced in providing individualized instruction and accommodations to support diverse learning needs.

Provide direct special education services to middle and high school students (approximately 10–15 students on a fluid caseload)
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
Deliver instruction and support primarily within the general education setting using inclusion and co‑teaching models
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional needs
Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Implement accommodations and modifications to ensure student access to curriculum
Support students with OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all special education timelines and reporting requirements
Provide behavior supports and classroom management strategies as needed
Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and growth
Active Special Education Teaching License in the State of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Experience working with middle and/or high school students
Experience supporting students with OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Experience delivering services within a general education/inclusion setting
Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to pass required background checks
