Position: School Counselor 36-Week Contract *Up to 55/hr

School Counselor

School Counselor provides academic and emotional support to elementary school students, collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to promote healthy development and well-being. The role ensures safe, inclusive learning environments and addresses social and behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic and emotional support to elementary school students to promote healthy development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop and implement counseling programs tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address social, behavioral, and emotional issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Participate in student safety and crisis intervention activities as required.
Qualifications:
  • MD Counselor License (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in counseling or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Background check required
  • Ability to work with elementary school students
  • Availability for dayshift hours
  • Physical ability to engage with students in person
