Secondary Special Education Teacher – for 26-27 SY High School. We are seeking a special education teacher for Easton High School. This high school serves students in grades 9th‑12th. This individual will provide services to students both inside the general education setting in more of a co‑teaching role, as well as provide services outside the general education classroom based on areas of needs.

Areas could include social/emotional/behavioral skills, reading skills, math skills. The caseload could be as many as 10 students, but will likely be fewer than 10 students.

• Provide direct/indirect instructional support in a positive, structured learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods (e.g., multi‑sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse needs
• Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with parents, administrators, and related service providers
• Modify curricula and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social‑emotional, and functional growth
• Teach socially acceptable behaviors using positive behavioral support systems
• Monitor progress and communicate regularly with families to align priorities

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field
• Valid Maryland SPED Teaching License
• Experience and Certification for HS age students
