Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Easton, Maryland. Provides specialized support to elementary and high-school students with disabilities. Works 37.5 hours per week in general education settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialized support to elementary and high school students with disabilities, including OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students, delivering services primarily inside general education settings.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with team members and families.
- Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations related to special education services.
- Certified Special Education Teacher (education)
- Certified Special Education Teacher (certification)
- 1+ years of experience in special education, including OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Language Impairment, caseload management, and indoor general education settings
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, day shift
- Reliable, team-oriented, strong communication skills
- Background check required
- Flexibility to serve elementary and high school students
