Position: Special Education Teacher 36-week Contract *Up to 55/hr

Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher on a 36-week contract in Easton, Maryland. Responsible for supporting elementary and high school students with disabilities, managing caseloads, and implementing individualized education plans within general education settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized support to elementary and high school students with disabilities, including OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students, delivering services primarily inside general education settings.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success.
  • Document student progress and communicate effectively with team members and families.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations related to special education services.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Special Education Teacher.
  • 1+ years of experience in special education, with skills in OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment.
  • Experience managing caseloads in indoor general education settings.
  • Ability to work 37.5 hours per week during day shift.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and strong communication skills.
  • Background check required.
  • Flexibility to serve elementary and high school students.
