Job Details:  

  • School Year Dates: ASAP – May 2026  
  • Certification Requirements:
    Licensed/Certified Speech Language Pathologist for Maryland
  • Days per Week: 5 days a week (37.5 hours a week)
  • Age Group:
    Elementary School
  • Disabilities on Caseload:
    Primarily OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Language Impairment
  • Number of Students on Caseload:
    Fluid – caseload of about 45-50 students
  • Services are primarily provided outside general education setting
  • Must be in person SLP – no virtual services

Role Overview:
As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose ability to communicate has been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries.

This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs for speech and language services to identified students
  • Provides appropriate individualized programs of intervention to meet individual students’ needs
  • Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language disabilities
  • Develop measurable IEP objectives and annua Develops Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.’s) as required and follows all local, state, and federal regulations relative to students with disabilities

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Maryland License in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Maryland teaching certificate as a speech therapist or proven eligibility
