Responsibilities

At SAM, you’ll play a key role in transforming LiDAR and imagery into precise mapping deliverables that power tomorrow’s infrastructure. You ll support utilities projects across the country and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools while learning from experts who are invested in your growth. This is a chance to build advanced technical skills, contribute to impactful projects, and take your geospatial career to the next level.

  • Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
  • Classification of LiDAR point clouds
  • Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
  • Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Eagerness to advance and grow in a geospatial career and a strong commitment to making significant contributions to the team
  • Strong work ethic and work history, demonstrated integrity, and personal accountability for contributing to the team's success
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Electric Transmission experience preferred
  • Microstation and Terra Solid experience is highly preferred
  • Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skill
  • Experience with any of the following is preferred:
    • CAD
    • GIS
    • Spreadsheets
    • Orthophotography
    • LiDAR Point Clouds (highly preferred)
    • LiDAR Classification (highly preferred)
    • Mapping from LiDAR or Imagery (highly preferred)
