Must-Have:
First-time travelers accepted with strong critical care experience/skills.
Previous charge experience preferred.
Preferred experience in trauma level I and II.
Local candidates under 50 miles are not accepted.

Description:

The position requires an ICU RN for night shifts.
The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
All holidays must be worked as scheduled.
Every other weekend is required.
Floating is necessary within the specialty and lower acuity as needed.
The average daily census is 8 patients with a patient to nurse ratio of 1:2.
Up to 3 patients may be assigned in low acuity situations, though this is rare.
Royal blue scrubs are required.
Travelers must have experience in critical care nursing.
Skills necessary include Flo Trac/Vigileo monitoring, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Additional vital skills include managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and ventilator management.
Emergency medication administration and IV sedation management experience are essential.
Candidates are expected to care for ventilated patients and manage arterial lines.
Returning travelers must have been away for at least 6 months before reapplying.
Extensions are possible, but a 6-month break is generally required after one contract and extension.
All candidates must provide two professional references.
