Job Requirements
This role is designed for a nurse who has achieved expertise and leadership in the clinical and professional role. The nurse leads and evaluates evidence‑based practice, actively participates or leads organizational initiatives, mentors and coaches nursing staff and other disciplines, exemplifies the professional nurse role, and demonstrates active involvement in clinical and professional nursing beyond the unit and/or organization. The nurse utilizes the institution’s care delivery and professional practice models as the frame of reference for practice, develops own practice, supports group practice goals at the unit level, and is accountable to patients, families, team members, and the nurse manager.
The nurse holds to the Service Standards and the Nursing Mission, Vision and Values.
Under limited supervision, the Specialty Team Leader provides ongoing clinical operations support for a designated specialty service within the Operating Room setting. The Leader collaborates with physicians, peri‑operative leadership, other clinicians, and ancillary departments to accomplish essential job functions and serves as a resource to team members regarding the specialty.
Education & Experience- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland (or eligible under Compact state agreements). BSN required. Current status on all mandatory training and classes.
- One year nursing experience in PACU/Critical Care. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
- Specialty certification required.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Maintain competencies required for the patient care setting in PACU and advance professional development.
- Practice and adhere to guidelines specified by UM Shore Regional Health.
- Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities as charge nurse, preceptor, or clinical resource.
- Effectively function as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Use computer systems to manage patient information.
- Participate in and support team‑building efforts on units.
- Provide care appropriate to the patient population, applying principles of growth and development across the lifespan and assessing data relative to population‑specific and age‑specific needs.

Compensation- Pay Range: $42.24–$60.71 per hour.
