Description:
Inpatient Psych/BHU RN - Nights. Responsible for providing compassionate care to patients in a secured access unit. Accept both involuntary and voluntary admissions. Utilize seclusion and 4-point hard restraints as necessary. Conduct safety observation status with 15-minute checks. Implement behavior management techniques for various psychiatric conditions. Participate in medication administration and monitoring. Administer IVs and manage foley catheter insertion when required.
Engage in psychoeducation and crisis intervention as needed. May require floating to other areas supporting behavioral health care. Work every other weekend and be available for holiday shifts as scheduled. Provide treatment for a range of diagnoses, including mood disorders and psychotic disorders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy and respiratory services. Ensure compliance with safety and care protocols.
