Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Easton, Maryland | 16-Week Travel Contract | Up to 36 Hours/Week
Join a busy, fast-paced Emergency Department caring for patients across the lifespan, from infants to geriatrics. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER RN seeking a challenging travel assignment with a supportive healthcare team and exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and diagnoses.
Assignment Details- Location: Easton, MD
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Contract Length: 16 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 Hours Weekly
- Shift Options:
- Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Rotating Evenings: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM
- 3x12s or 4x12s accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Required as scheduled
- On-Call: None required
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to acuity.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening conditions promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge plans.
- Follow emergency department policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- All age groups cared for, including infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with occasional assignments up to 1:5 for lower-acuity patients.
- Diagnoses encompass all body systems and include complex and high-acuity cases.
- Fast-paced emergency department environment requiring strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
- Active RN License (Maryland license required prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- First-time travelers welcome to apply
- Current:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- CPI certification completed during onboarding
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-acuity emergency setting
May float within the Emergency Department specialty to affiliated regional ED locations as needed.
