Sales Associate

Five Below is hiring part‑time Sales Associates to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales.

  Hourly
• Starting Salary: $15.50 per hour

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, offering alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Operate cash registers frequently and process transactions accurately.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove items up to 5‑10 feet high.
• Ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
• Maintain an upright position 80% of the time and perform kneeling, bending, twisting, and stooping as needed.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers, both in person and via telephone.

• At least 16 years old.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Comfortable with, or willing to learn, technology such as cash registers and mobile devices.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage customers courteously and professionally.
• Basic problem‑solving and information‑gathering skills.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.
• Attention to detail in keeping merchandise organized and the floor well‑stocked.
• Capacity to lift, carry, and move stock as described in responsibilities.
