Job Overview

The Hub Operations Lead is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and workflow of all HUB functions, including execution of store HUB order fulfillment and inventory control. Depending on the size and scope of the HUB operations, the Lead may supervise one or more team members (HUB Inventory Specialists and HUB Drivers). This full‑time position requires strong knowledge of store systems, basic parts knowledge, good interpersonal skills, and prior experience leading others.

The Lead must be able to network with nearby stores, HUBs, PDA, and external suppliers for order fulfillment and maintain HUB company standards. MVR certification may be required, and the Lead must complete all training materials and attend all store meetings.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee HUB operations and resolve HUB orders and processes promptly.
  • Provide direction, organize, and delegate work to compliant HUB team members (Hub/Loop Drivers and HUB Inventory Specialists).
  • Review HUB orders, pull parts, stage product, and finalize paperwork.
  • Coordinate with internal and third‑party drivers on instructions and paperwork.
  • Engage the store‑to‑facility network to determine part sourcing and logistics solutions, and collaborate with the ordering store when fulfillment options are unavailable in the network.
  • Work with GM, DM, and CSC support to maintain proper inventory mix and levels.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy for the parts department and HUB inventory (on‑hand accuracy, shrink results, cycle counts).
  • Handle outages, planograms, maxi changes, price changes, front‑&‑face, and truck lead activities.
  • Manage and comply with all HUB records and paperwork policies and procedures.
  • Urgently communicate risks or concerns regarding order fulfillment or shipments to the appropriate store leaders.
  • Lead stocking activities from replenishment orders, ensuring scanning and completion within 24 hours.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Perform additional inventory activities including overstocks, callbacks, and resets.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Assist with front‑room inventory functions, cores, and defects.
  • Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Assist with MOD and other store‑related actions as required.

Essential

Job Skills
  • Oral and written communication proficiency and basic math computations.
  • Prior retail experience with basic merchandising and inventory management.
  • Experience operating forklift, pallet jack, hand jack, and hand truck; forklift certification if applicable.
  • Appropriate appearance and professionalism when dealing with the public.
  • Demonstrated stability and performance in previous work records.
  • Readiness to work flexible hours, nights, and weekends on short notice.
  • Immediate reporting of policy or procedure violations to General Manager and/or District Manager.
Required Experience
  • Inventory management in a retail environment or logistics center.
Education

High school diploma or general educational development (GED) degree.

Physical Demands

Predominantly walking or standing. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to weather. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious locations, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation and Benefits

Good faith estimate: $21.65 to $24.09 per hour for a new team member. The offered rate depends on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials.
