Job Description

• Conducts studies to assess persistence and behavior of chemicals in the environment including biodegradation of organic chemicals, bioaccumulation in fish, hydrolysis photo transformation and partitioning in soils and sediments. Experience to perform metabolite identification.
• Designs and supervises experiments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Serves as an expert for technical issues for staff and customers.
• Performs data evaluations, reviews the work of others, and writes technical reports.
• May serve as a primary business contact for clients.

• Knowledge of Environmental fate and chemistry.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

• A Bachelor’s Degree plus at least eight years’ experience in the environmental fate field, M.S. with a minimum of five years’ experience or PhD in a relevant field.
• GLP study director or project management experience preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime required as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Hercules, CA are encouraged to apply.
