Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Assistant Scientist to work with our Ecotoxicology team at our world class, industry-leading facility located in Easton, MD.

Assistant Scientist responsibilities include:

• Assist/run toxicology studies, including preparing test solution sand daily maintenance of test systems.
• Feed, water, and examine animals for signs of illness, disease, or injury sustained in the laboratory.
• Must be comfortable with handling live animals.
• Collect and analyze biological data.
• Performs analysis, first level, and peer review of data for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide guidance to technicians on the proper conduct of study assignments.
• May assist in preparation of data and final reports for completed projects or studies.
• Carries out routine experiments and procedures in accordance with all applicable regulatory (e.g. DEA, EPA, FDA, FIFRA, OECD, etc.) requirements as defined by protocol, method, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas.
• In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MDare encouraged to apply.
