Student Event Associates will plan and execute event details, check on event venues throughout the day, and provide supervision to groups on campus.
Job Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Interact professionally with Stonehill staff and summer program coordinators/clients.
* Ensure all spaces are reserved for the client. Confirm venue setups, IT/Media Technology, and Food service, Campus Police, and athletic space needs.
* Communicate logistics and needs to Stonehill support staff departments; present planning documents at weekly support staff meetings.
* Check (and re-check) all facilities and residence halls prior to event or group arrival for cleanliness, damage, appropriate setup, and that all documented needs are provided and setup; report any issues to both the Conference & Event Services staff and applicable support staff departments.
* Manage meal/dining schedule and traffic flow in communication with Bon appetit.
* Attend major program events; being visible and providing excellent customer service and support.
* Meet daily with program coordinators to ensure their experience is possible; report and address any feedback on issues/concerns.
* Respond to any reported maintenance and other issues as they arise; report the issue and provide appropriate solution/resolution as applicable.
* As needed, serve in an on-call capacity; assist with last-minute requests.
* Serve as a resource for conference guests by responding to requests for information about Stonehill College and the surrounding area.
Qualifications:
* Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
* The ability to react decisively, and with good judgment to problems.
* Must have endurance, be energetic, and great customer service skills.
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite Programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Capable of efficiently communicating with support staff, and other student event managers.
* General filing and organizational skills.
* Previous customer service experience preferred.
* Professional attire required.
