Accessibility Services Peer Note Sharer; Fall

Accessibility Services Peer Note Sharers provide support to students enrolled in the same course and section in which a student with a pre-approved peer note-sharing accommodation is registered. This position is for the duration of the course, typically 15 weeks.

- Must be enrolled in the same course number and section as a student with a pre-approved peer note taking accommodation through Accessibility Services.

- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher.

- Upload high-quality, thorough, and legible notes to the online accommodation platform, AIM, within 48 hours of each class period.

- Respect the student’s right to privacy and confidentiality of students receiving accommodations and the information shared through the peer note sharing process.

- Attend class regularly and notify?

Accessibility Services?immediately of changes in class schedule or contact information that occur. If absences become excessive or interfere with the quality of notes, peer note sharers may be released from their peer note sharing responsibilities.

- Peer Note Sharers are compensated for 1 hour per week: the amount of time it takes to upload their notes into the online portal, AIM. Peer Note Sharers are not compensated for the time they are in class.

- Notes can be provided either by scanning handwritten notes or by uploading a Microsoft Word file to AIM (unless otherwise instructed by Accessibility Services).
