Position: Ch 74 Robotics and Automation Teacher

Ch. 74 Robotics and Automation Teacher

Location: Eastern Regional Technical High School – Easton, Massachusetts

Starting Date: Sep 1, 2026

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $55,818 to $108,193 Per Year

Responsibilities
  • Map all curriculum to the Massachusetts Robotics and Automation Frameworks
  • Provide instruction following the Massachusetts Vocational-Technical Frameworks in the specified career area
  • Enforce all OSHA safety regulations within the career education setting
  • Instruct students in the shop, classroom, or field during District projects
  • Document student performance, behavior, and achievement within the career education setting
  • Provide review and reinforcement of new concepts; support students in completing assigned tasks
  • Demonstrate knowledge of students’ IEPs and modify assignments, tests, and quizzes in collaboration with special educators
  • Develop resources such as models, graphic organizers, notes, video clips, and demonstrations
  • Participate as a member of the career area department and collaborate with teachers within the department
  • Collaborate with teachers in academic disciplines to facilitate cross‑curricular, project‑based learning activities
  • Collaborate with the Vocational Supervisor/Cooperative Education Coordinator to place students in their career areas
  • Maintain documentation: performance, behavior, progress data, absences/tardies, and conversations with parents and administrators
  • Provide content support outside the general education classroom as necessary
  • Integrate technology into the curriculum
  • Respond to correspondence from parents or guardians
  • Participate in conferences and meetings, contributing observations and ideas
  • Attend Advisory Board meetings twice per year and attend Open House
  • Keep current with changes in the career area and collaborate with Advisory Board members
  • Accept additional responsibilities as directed by the Vocational Supervisor(s)
  • Design the 9–12 curriculum, order materials and equipment, set up shops/labs, and assist with instruction in Engineering, Precision Machine, and other applicable programs during the 2025‑2026 school year
Skills Required
  • Experience safely using tools and equipment in the robotics and automation industry
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and carry out initiatives assigned by supervisor(s)
  • Strong technology skills
  • Flexibility with job assignments and performance responsibilities
  • Willingness to teach all grade levels (9–12), in‑house or off‑campus
Qualifications
  • Chapter 74, Preliminary Robotics and Automation Vocational Technical Teacher License (or ability to meet licensure requirements)
  • Satisfactory CORI, Statewide Applicant Fingerprint Identification Services (SAFIS), and SORI
  • Associate’s degree or higher related to subject matter
  • Four years full‑time employment experience directly related to robotics and automation technology
  • Passing score of at least 70% on each test (written and performance) in robotics and automation technology
  • Achieve a passing score on either the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test or the Communication and Literacy Skills Test
