  • Evaluate student performance through targeted assignments, theory exams, hands-on clinical assessments, and live salon client service. Provide constructive feedback tailored to adult learning styles.
  • Maintain an inclusive, safe, and modern clinic/classroom environment adhering strictly to sanitation, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance logs and skill completion records required for state clock-hour verification and accreditation standards. Support adult students in exam preparation and workforce readiness.
  • Partner with adult education administrators, industry advisory boards, and faculty colleagues to continuously enhance the Cosmetology program.
SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills (essential for state-mandated clock-hour and skill tracking).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience mentoring adult populations.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital classroom platforms (e.g., student portals, digital grade books, presentation tools).
  • Ability to be flexible, patient, and adaptable to non-traditional adult learning needs.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Chapter 74 Cosmetology license, or the ability to satisfy Chapter 74 adult/post-secondary instructor requirements.
