Job Description

We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Permanent Quality Engineer for our manufacturing team. This role focuses on ensuring the overall quality of our products, improving processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with a focus on process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, and ISO
13485. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Location: Easton, MA, US

Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Utilize Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other best practices to reduce waste, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and address sources of quality issues.
  • Use statistical analysis to monitor and control process variability and product quality.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in compliance with ISO
    13485.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality plans, quality control plans, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members on quality control and process improvement techniques.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting performance metrics, quality issues, and proposed solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and the use of statistical software.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO
    13485 and experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems in compliance with this standard.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality results.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in quality engineering and manufacturing.
