Construction Project Manager (Global Facilities)

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager oversees facility projects on a global scale. Responsibilities range from general facility maintenance and retrofits to large-scale building construction and the integration of complex production systems. This role bridges the gap between concept and implementation, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering to support worldwide infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Lifecycle Management:
    Lead facility expansions, layout designs, and system implementations from initial data analysis to final hand-off.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Analyze project costs, prepare comprehensive budgets, and manage vendor bidding processes.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    Evaluate existing infrastructure and operational systems to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Maintenance & Risk:
    Coordinate infrastructure maintenance schedules; lead emergency response efforts to minimize downtime and mitigate risk during unexpected events.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Ensure all projects adhere to local/international building codes, OSHA, and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Act as the central point of contact for internal teams (Safety, Quality, Accounting, Sourcing) and external contractors.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Sciences is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in a construction/facilities discipline will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Essential Experience &

Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Construction Project Management or Facilities focus).
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and creating technical drawings and specifications (AutoCAD).
  • Proven experience managing the competitive bid process, RFIs, addendums, and change orders.
  • Functional knowledge of Architectural, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) systems.
  • Expert-level use of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project (or equivalent PM software).

Preferred "Plus"

Skills:

  • Experience with Foundry operations or heavy industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Utility Systems:
    Compressed air, cooling water systems (chillers/towers), and piping.
  • Experience with Process Ventilation:
    Dust collection and fume extraction systems.
