Duties & Responsibilities *
* + Provide sustaining engineering support for SiC epitaxial growth processes and related equipment
+ Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve yield, quality, and process stability
+ Monitor and control processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools
+ Analyze process data using JMP or similar statistical software to identify trends and drive improvements
+ Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance uniformity, defect reduction, and efficiency
+ Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
+ Support and optimize epi reactors and post-epi characterization/metrology tools
+ Manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume manufacturing environment
+ Train and support operators and technicians on process standards and best practices
+ Ensure adherence to engineering procedures, safety standards, and cleanroom protocols
** Education & Experience*
* + Bachelor's degree in engineering/science with 5 plus years experience in a related field OR Master's degree in engineering/science with 3 plus years experience in a related field.
+ Experience in epitaxy (SiC preferred) and/or semiconductor characterization
+ Background in process engineering, data analysis, and process improvement
** Technical Skills*
* +
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
+ Proficiency with JMP, Minitab, or similar statistical tools
+ Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
+
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments
+ Familiarity with databases and process data systems
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

* + Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support 24/7 manufacturing operations
+ Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* ** Working Conditions*
* + 100% on-site in a semiconductor manufacturing facility
** Physical Requirements*
* + Ability to perform hands-on work in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment
+ Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods within the facility
+ Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 lbs as needed
** Safety Requirements*
* All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
