Entry Level Diesel Mechanic

Location:

Easton PA

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM;
Saturdays, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Job Description:

As an Entry Level Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of diesel engine maintenance and repair. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will learn to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Learn to identify and diagnose mechanical issues through observation, testing, and analysis.
  • Assist with the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of diesel engines and components.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools effectively and responsibly.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with machinery.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components is preferred but not required.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
