Back-End Developer

Famous Smoke Shop, a leading online and retail cigar retailer in Easton, PA, is seeking a Back-End Developer to power our e commerce and retail systems. In this on-site role, you will design, build, and maintain server-side applications, APIs, and database integrations that support online ordering, inventory, and customer accounts. You'll optimize performance and security for high-traffic transactions, collaborate closely with front-end, marketing, and operations teams, and help shape technical architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications for Famous Smoke Shop's e commerce platform
• Build and optimize APIs, databases, and integrations with payment, inventory, and CRM systems
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security for high-volume online transactions
• Collaborate with front-end, marketing, and operations teams to deliver new features
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling for reliable system operation
• Write clean, testable code and perform code reviews to maintain quality standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and deploy timely fixes and enhancements
• Participate in architecture decisions and technical planning for new projects
