Job Title: School Psychologist

Schools: District

2026-27 School Year:

Does your passion for students’ academic and non-academic needs drive your engagement with colleagues, students, parents, and the community? Can your talent raise the profile of a school by growing student scholars? Can you develop a school culture of pride and high achievement? Are your students passionate and proactive about learning and interacting with colleagues because of you? Do you address the needs of the whole child?

Who we are: Eastpointe Community Schools is in the business of transforming lives. Our partnership with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and the University of Virginia’s Partners for Leaders in Education (UVA-PLE) has created a unique opportunity for rapid district turnaround. Part of our continued growth and improvement involves increasing educational expectations, developing a culture of support, and nurturing all students to address academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs.

What we offer: While all schools face challenges, at Eastpointe we all roll up our sleeves and work together to get things done. Our district appreciates talents and skills that others may have missed and embraces disruptive leaders willing to challenge the status quo. As a Psychologist in our district, you will work side by side with your Principal, Classroom Teachers and other Support Staff who will help you move our students’ academic and social skills forward.

You will find tremendous opportunities for professional learning in Eastpointe, as continuous growth is an expectation for all employees. We pride ourselves on creating a culture of continuous improvement with educators who feel this work is a calling, and where every interaction with students counts.

What we are looking for: If you are passionate about inspiring young learners, guiding students through acquiring self-esteem and strong social skills, and growing strong relationships with families, students, and our community, we are looking for you!
