Job Details

The Area Superintendent oversees multiple large-scale, multi-million-dollar electrical projects across a region, managing hundreds of field employees and field leadership staff. This individual ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and proactive communication.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple large, fast-paced electrical construction projects ($1 million up to $30 million), ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
  • Lead and mentor Field Leaders, including Foremen, General Foremen, and Site Superintendents, promoting accountability and performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to plan staffing, budgets, and project execution strategies months in advance.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and maintain strict compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve challenges and ensure satisfaction.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and implementing best practices across projects.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical construction, including management of multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large field teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • OSHA 30 certification and proficiency in Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and Autodesk platforms (Procore and Primavera preferred).
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience; IBEW affiliation preferred but not required.
  • Highly motivated, accountable, and adaptable — able to make tough decisions and pivot quickly in dynamic project environments.
