Middle/High School Intervention Specialist
Preble County Educational Service Center Preble ESC Alternative School - Eaton, Ohio
Intervention Specialist for Middle/High School ED Classroom Position Description- Manage classroom and implements appropriate programs
- Develop and implements IEPs
- Conduct and participate in team meetings
- Supervise classroom assistants
- Ensure safety of students
- Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom appropriate to student's IEPs
- Develop and implement behavior management plans
- Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
- Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
- Demonstrate a positive work ethic
- Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
- Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license (Intervention Specialist)
- Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with severe behavioral challenges
