EDM Machinist; 2nd or 3rd Shift Job Eaton area,Ohio USA,Manufacturing / Production

Position: EDM Machinist (2nd or 3rd Shift)
SIGNING BONUS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate surface grinders and belt sanders.
- Operate vertical mills.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Operate Okamoto dressing EDM
- Operate Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Charmilles and Wire EDM machines.
- Operate Makino and Charmilles sinker EDM machines.
- Operate Current small hole EDM machine.
- Operate Milltronics multi-axis jig driller.
- Provides basic operations support in areas not directly associated with this category (for which adequate training has been provided and direction given, such as Ultrasonic Impact Grinding).
- Using G&M codes or conversational language, program all EDM machines and multi-axis drillers.
- Utilize AUTOCAD and Esprit to design tooling and fixtures based on part print provided.
- Ensures procurement of materials in a timely manner to meet tooling/fixture production deadlines.
- Work with UM operators and management to resolve tooling issues.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:
•
• Must be a high school graduate or have a general education degree (GED). An associate's degree or greater is preferred.

• One or more years EDM experience.

• Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees or other departments of the organization.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to pay close attention to details.

• Ability to assess drawings and specifications for machining and inspection results.

• Ability to utilize computer applications such as;
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Manufacturing software, and Database software.

Ability to attain sufficient task success to establish credibility with management, staff and employees.
