Essential FunctionAs a Quality Inspector, you’ll take on advanced inspection and testing responsibilities that directly impact the performance of our high‑tech products. Your experience with quality systems, attention to detail, and strong math and computer skills will be key in maintaining our reputation for excellence. This role offers the chance to deepen your expertise, work with cutting‑edge tools, and contribute meaningfully to a team that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Conduct part inspections to ensure compliance with customer expectations and specifications.
- Understand and complete all documentation requirements for inspections as performed.
- Read and understand work instructions to determine the procedure for testing.
- Attend Train the Trainer classes and train incoming inspectors.
- Generate and approve FAIR submission package.
- Assist in returning parts to production that are returned to QA.
- Assist in writing and editing work instructions and other pertinent documentation.
- Assume Team Lead responsibilities during their absence.
- Be knowledgeable in removing parts from hold and rejection control procedures.
- Know and understand specification criteria prior to performing inspection functions.
- Commit to ongoing development and competence of job functions.
- Proactively communicate with value streams, including engineering and metrology, to address machine issues and production items, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality and Operating Procedures as appropriate.
- Ensure the cleanliness and order of inspection and test stations.
- Report any unsafe conditions to Silfex management, including the Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/or Director of Manufacturing.
- Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Provide the safest possible workplace to our employees by modeling and following all company safety policies, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to Silfex management, and wearing all required PPE.
- Communicate boldly and effectively with empathy and respect to inspire teamwork and collaboration vertically and horizontally.
- Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Escalate maintenance issues responsibly.
- High School Diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) required.
- 6+ years of previous manufacturing Quality Assurance experience or relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of inspection criteria and how to apply them effectively.
