Forklift Truck Loader – 2nd Shift
The Forklift Truck Loader is responsible for safely loading and unloading roofing panels, coils, and other materials while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Verify load orders for accuracy and ensure materials are handled properly to prevent damage.
- Scan all orders being loaded onto delivery trucks.
- Stack, organize, and store products and materials safely and efficiently.
- Understand truck mapping to ensure proper loading, balanced weight distribution, and compliance with truck weight limits.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting material movements.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Participate in regular housekeeping activities to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct pre-operational forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational issues or concerns.
- Identify and report damaged materials.
- Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of forklift operations and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read and understand load orders and inventory documentation.
- Understanding of truck mapping and safe load distribution practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
