Estimator, Construction, Civil Engineering

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a construction-focused client in Eatonton, GA to identify an Estimator to support their preconstruction and bidding operations. TRC serves as a trusted talent partner, connecting skilled construction professionals with high-impact roles that offer stability, growth potential, and long-term career development.

This role is responsible for supporting the full estimating and bid preparation process for construction projects. The Estimator will analyze drawings and specifications, perform material takeoffs, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and assemble complete, competitive bid packages. This position offers strong growth potential within a stable organization and requires strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost development and proposal preparation.

• Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, addenda, and pre-bid documentation

• Perform material takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates

• Send and manage quote requests to vendors and subcontractors

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, documenting conditions and capturing site information

• Collect, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing

• Update estimating spreadsheets to reflect scope changes, addenda, and field conditions

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals

• Prepare and submit complete, accurate, and competitive bid packages

• Communicate with engineers, owners, and project stakeholders for clarification and scope alignment

• Support estimating and operations teams throughout the bid lifecycle

• Maintain accuracy and consistency within estimating systems and tools

• Experience in construction estimating or preconstruction support preferred

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and cost analysis

• Experience working with vendors and subcontractors for pricing coordination

• Strong Excel and estimating software proficiency

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
