Quality Control Lead - Technician in USA - CC

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Inspector Lead to ensure our cabinet products meet company standards and customer specifications throughout the assembly process. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in cabinet manufacturing. The position is full‑time and includes direct supervision of quality control staff while maintaining strict adherence to company quality protocols.

Job Duties
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: 2–3 direct reports; train new employees on quality processes and defect identification.
  • Inspection and Testing:
    • Perform in‑process quality checks at various assembly line stages to identify defects early.
    • Inspect finished cabinets for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, hardware installation, and overall craftsmanship.
    • Test drawer slides, hinges, and other moving components for proper function and durability.
    • Verify compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, and work orders.
    • Roam the Panel Processing Department to assess parts quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed quality control records and inspection logs.
    • Document non‑conforming products and track corrective actions.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management.
    • Communicate quality issues to production supervisors and engineering teams.
    • Update quality control procedures and checklists as needed.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify defect trends and recommend improvement actions.
    • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures.
    • Participate in root‑cause analysis for quality issues.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality policies.
    • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas.
    • Support regulatory audits and customer quality assessments.

    Required Qualifications
    • 2+ years in quality control or manufacturing within furniture or cabinet production.
    • Knowledge of woodworking processes and cabinet construction.

    • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
    • Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001).
    • Certification in quality control or inspection methods.
    • Experience with quality‑control software or databases.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Capability to lift up to 50 lb.
    • Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed inspections.
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and dust.
