What You'll Do

As a Wastewater Operator, you will help ensure the safe and efficient operation of treatment facilities by:

Operating pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, disinfection systems, and other treatment equipment
Monitoring treatment processes and conducting routine testing to maintain regulatory compliance
Inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility equipment and machinery
Recording daily operational data including flows, chemical usage, maintenance activities, and treatment results
Responding to equipment malfunctions and emergency call-outs, including after-hours service when needed
Assisting with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process control systems
Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure treatment facility
Communicating with customers and clients regarding routine operational matters
Supporting scheduled and preventive maintenance activities
Participating in rotating on-call responsibilities and working weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as required

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater operations
Valid driver's license
Class 3 Wastewater Operator License or higher required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating wastewater treatment equipment
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems
