What You'll Do
As a Wastewater Operator, you will help ensure the safe and efficient operation of treatment facilities by:
- Operating pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, disinfection systems, and other treatment equipment
- Monitoring treatment processes and conducting routine testing to maintain regulatory compliance
- Inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility equipment and machinery
- Recording daily operational data including flows, chemical usage, maintenance activities, and treatment results
- Responding to equipment malfunctions and emergency call-outs, including after-hours service when needed
- Assisting with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process control systems
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure treatment facility
- Communicating with customers and clients regarding routine operational matters
- Supporting scheduled and preventive maintenance activities
- Participating in rotating on-call responsibilities and working weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as required

- What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater operations
- Valid driver's license
- Class 3 Wastewater Operator License or higher required
- Experience operating wastewater treatment equipment
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems
Technical Skills
- Understanding of wastewater treatment processes
- Equipment operation and maintenance experience
- Ability to read and follow operating procedures and safety protocols
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation

This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly
