This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field who wants to apply their classroom knowledge to real projects involving materials, testing, manufacturing, product development, and process improvement.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Co-Op Student
, you'll gain exposure to multiple stages of the product development and manufacturing process while working alongside experienced professionals.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assist teams with planning, development, testing, and implementation of projects
  • Perform hands-on testing and analysis of materials and equipment
  • Assist with testing materials for durability, performance, and compatibility
  • Help evaluate new equipment and technologies for use with existing materials and processes
  • Read and follow test plans and accurately document test results
  • Create, edit, and analyze technical specifications and product documentation
  • Assist with troubleshooting and identifying issues with materials, equipment, and processes
  • Use data and basic statistical analysis to evaluate test results and identify trends
  • Assist with process improvement and engineering projects
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Operations teams
  • Communicate project findings and results to team members and management
  • Learn and apply new testing methods, technologies, and engineering techniques
  • Take on additional engineering projects and responsibilities as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related degree program
  • Available to complete a minimum 5-month co-op
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow test plans and technical instructions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Professional and effective communication skills
  • Strong interest in engineering, materials, manufacturing, and new technologies
  • Curious, hardworking, and eager to learn
  • Ability to communicate technical information and project results effectively

Previous experience with laboratory testing, materials, manufacturing, engineering projects, CAD, data analysis, or quality control is a plus, but not required.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work on-site in Eatontown, NJ each working day
  • Minimal travel may be required
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
