Hours per Week:  35

Candidate Pay Rate:  $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions to help patients regain mobility and independence

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on exercises, safety strategies, and home programs to support recovery

Perform thorough documentation of treatments, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner

Monitor patient response to interventions and escalate changes in condition to the supervising therapist

Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes dignity and respect

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey (or compact/state-appropriate credentials)

Completion of an accredited PTA program (Associate degree or equivalent)

Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required; additional certifications a plus

Previous experience as a PTA preferred; new grads from accredited programs are welcome to apply

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree (A.A.S.) in Physical Therapist Assistant or completion of an accredited PTA program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility interventions

Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and progress reporting

Familiarity with mobility assistive devices and safe transfer techniques

Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and patient-centered care principles

Comfortable using electronic medical records and following established treatment plans
