Certified Nursing Assistant

Jersey Shore Center in Neptune, NJ seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, hands-on care in a skilled nursing and rehab setting. The CNA will assist residents with daily activities, mobility, and comfort while supporting rehab and long-term care goals. Responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, safe transfers, documentation, and infection control. Working in a resident-focused, team-oriented environment, the CNA collaborates with nurses and therapists to promote dignity, safety, and quality of life, with opportunities for professional growth and clinical skill development.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct hands-on care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding residents.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with safe transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices in rehab and long-term care settings.
• Support restorative and rehab programs under direction of nurses and therapists.
• Maintain resident comfort, dignity, and safety while following infection control and facility policies.
• Accurately document care and observations in charts or electronic records.
• Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, therapists, and families as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with memory care and behavior support for residents with cognitive impairment.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas neat and safe, ensuring equipment is clean and available.
• Participate in ongoing training, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives.
