NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES SPECIALIST I (Parking Enforcement)
Are you passionate about keeping the community clean, safe, and well‑organized? As a Neighborhood Services Specialist I, you’ll play a key role in enforcing parking regulations and ensuring compliance with municipal ordinances related to trash collection, zoning, parking, and more.
This position offers a mix of fieldwork and administrative tasks, including inspections, investigations, and community engagement. If you have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of municipal codes, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Help us make a difference in our neighborhoods!
Two positions are available: one full‑time position, and one full‑time limited‑term position that is grant‑funded through December 2026. Continuation beyond 2026 is dependent on future budget appropriation.
Requirements- Possess or obtain (within 30 days of hire) and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)
- At least one year of experience with systems design, data analysis, and computers and software
- At least 18 years old
- Associate degree in a related field or two years of relevant work experience
- Full‑time regular position: 3 pm – 11 pm, Tuesday and Saturday
- Limited‑term position: 10 am – 6 pm, Monday – Friday
Receive 40 hours of vacation on your first day of employment, plus earn 80 hours of additional vacation time in the first year.
Receive 3 paid floating holidays and 8 paid regular holidays (in a calendar year).
Potential to qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Other excellent fringe benefits: paid sick leave, health insurance, life insurance, etc.
CompensationWage range: $28.60 to $34.16 per hour.
