The instructor will work face‑to‑face in classroom, lab, or clinical settings; online; or a combination of online and face‑to‑face, based on department needs and scheduling.

All CVTC instructors must meet with students and/or attend on‑site meetings regularly. This means online instructors must live within driving distance of a CVTC campus (Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Menomonie, Neillsville, or River Falls). Adjunct instructors serve as partners for students, ensuring success and modeling CVTC core abilities. They collaborate, innovate, and integrate technology to support learning and teaching.

  • Maintain professional currency and contribute to a collaborative culture across the College.
  • Model integrity, self‑awareness, personal accountability, ethical behavior, quality standards, and sustainable practices.
  • Think critically by applying problem‑solving practices, acquiring relevant information, and evaluating alternatives.
  • Communicate effectively by speaking and writing clearly, concisely, and professionally; practicing active listening and adapting communication for audiences.
  • Recognize personal biases, adapt to different cultural situations, and demonstrate commitment to respectful interactions with people of diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; associate’s degree may be considered based on other qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of current experience working with bees.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job‑specific licensing standards.

In evaluating candidates, the College may consider a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

CVTC is an equal‑opportunity/access employer and educator committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

CVTC reserves the right to limit applicant consideration from specific geographic regions when differences in state‑level policies or regulatory frameworks present conflicts with institutional standards and/or fiduciary responsibilities. This practice supports compliance, operational integrity, and alignment with the College’s strategic objectives.

The College seeks diverse instructors who can inspire our increasingly diverse student population. We value the ability to serve students from a wide range of cultural heritages, socioeconomic backgrounds, genders, abilities, and orientations.
