Banquet Manager
Metropolis Resort is looking for an energetic and flexible Banquet Manager to join our team! This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll lead banquet events while also jumping into restaurant operations during slower weeks.
If you enjoy a mix of planning, leadership, and being right in the action, this is the perfect role for you. This role averages 30–40 hours per week. During busy banquet periods, you'll focus on planning and executing events. When events slow down, you'll transition into a restaurant role (serving and/or bartending), staying active and involved with the team.
Responsibilities & Duties:- Plan and manage banquet events from start to finish
- Lead banquet staff and keep events running smoothly
- Be the main point of contact during events
- Oversee setup, service flow, and breakdown
- Communicate with kitchen and service teams to ensure great execution
- Assist with scheduling and team coordination
- Jump into serving and/or bartending during slower weeks
- Provide excellent guest service in both banquet and restaurant settings
- Previous banquet, event, or leadership experience preferred
- Serving and/or bartending experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of event systems and scheduling tools
- A team-first attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
