Sanitation / Maintenance Assistant

Pay starts at $18.50 an hour
. Schedule is Sunday – Thursday starting e to train on Scissor Lift to reach high ceiling areas. Will be working in Dry and Freezer/Cooler departments.

The Sanitation / Maintenance Assistant performs general janitorial, cleaning, sanitation and assists the maintenance tech with job related tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• Will be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Assists techs with maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Equipment maintenance experience needed.
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.
