Shape metal into mission‑critical weldments—one precise fit at a time

As a Precision TIG/GMAW Fabrication Welder–Fitter, you will transform parts and components into high‑quality assemblies that meet Pro‑Cise, Inc. standards and exacting customer specifications. You’ll rely on expert fitting, disciplined welding technique, clear interpretation of blueprints and GD&T, thorough inspection, and safe use of fabrication equipment. Your craftsmanship helps drive efficient, ISO‑compliant production.

A day in the life Review manufacturing drawings, specifications, and work instructions; plan your sequence for fit‑up and welding.

Set fixtures, verify measurements with tape measures, squares, protractors, and weld gauges; confirm tolerances.

Execute TIG and GMAW welds on ferrous and non‑ferrous materials; inspect and document results.

Operate forklifts, jib cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices to move work safely and efficiently.

Record labor, complete work orders, and properly identify work in process to keep projects moving.

Support teammates—assist with fixture design/fabrication and mentor newer welders.

Key responsibilities

Fit and weld components or sub‑assemblies with minimal supervision using established processes and techniques.

Produce weldments that meet quality, dimensional, and efficiency targets per drawings and specifications.

Interpret blueprints and use measurement/inspection tools, including tape measures, squares, protractors, and weld gauges.

Perform TIG and GMAW welding on ferrous and non‑ferrous metals to meet customer requirements.

Assist in fixture design and fabrication.

Complete labor reporting, work order documentation, and WIP identification accurately.

Follow ISO procedures and safety programs, including PPE and safe equipment operation.

Operate forklifts, jib cranes, hoists, and lifting devices safely.

Assist in training and mentoring new welders or team members.

Pass required welding certification tests, including customer‑specific certifications.

Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives.

Strong blueprint reading with solid GD&T interpretation.

Education and experience

Technical Diploma in Welding preferred; OR High School Diploma/GED plus at least four (4) years of welding experience and/or related training.

Meets Pro‑Cise, Inc. welding qualification requirements and passes applicable certification tests.

AWS D1.1 certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).Forklift and lifting‑device operation certification (company‑provided).Physical demands

Stand for extended periods; reach with hands/arms; use hands to handle tools and materials.

Frequent walking; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Mental demands

Work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Maintain strong focus and situational awareness for safety and accuracy.

Interpret written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings, and work orders.

Troubleshoot welding/fabrication challenges.

Regular exposure to welding fumes, airborne particles, and hot surfaces.

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and high‑temperature materials.

Loud noise levels; hearing protection required.
