About the Opportunity Kelly Services is recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing organization specializing in precision tooling and component production. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on machining, CNC programming, troubleshooting, and production support. Approximately 90% of the work is tooling-focused, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and working independently.

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, EDM wire machines, and manual machining equipment
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Surfcam
• Manufacture tooling, fixtures, jigs, and precision-machined components
• Support production by diagnosing and resolving machining-related issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
• Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling
• Maintain machine shop organization, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
• Assist with material inventory management within the ERP system
• Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the broader manufacturing team

• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience operating and programming CNC mills and lathes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Surfcam, EDM wire machining, and tooling fabrication is highly desirable
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment
• Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Competitive pay: $28.00 – $32.00/hr
