Molding Operator
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable
Molding Operator to support the manufacturing, packaging, and quality monitoring of plastic parts and assemblies. This role works closely with shift leaders, mold technicians, and quality staff to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate production.
Molding Operator
Key Responsibilities Production & Communication Check in with shift leader or mold technician to confirm daily assignments
Communicate with previous shift operator to understand job status and issues
Ask questions and request assistance when needed to ensure proper operation
Machine, Tools & Documentation Review job paperwork and verify accuracy before starting production
Complete required documentation (shift reports, route sheets, etc.)Perform secondary operations according to work instructions
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
Gather and maintain necessary supplies at the workstation
Report issues with parts, instructions, packaging, or equipment to appropriate staff
Workplace & Team Support Assist in training new operators as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Complete paperwork and clean up area at the end of each shift
Follow Quality Management System requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Molding Operator Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred1–3 months of manufacturing or related experience preferred (training provided)
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills & Abilities Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
Basic written communication skills for reports and documentation
Comfortable communicating with coworkers and supervisors
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve routine production problems
