Position Summary

The Floater/Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panelsin accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements and packaging, labeling, staging, and moving finished goods, materials, and inventory throughout the manufacturing facility.

This position performs mechanical assembly,componentinstallation, wiring, labeling, and inspection whilemaintaininga strong focus on quality, safety, accuracy, and productivity and plays a critical role in supporting production, shipping, inventory accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical control panels according to drawings, schematics, Bills of Material (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Package finished products in accordance with customer specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Verify product quantities, part numbers, labels, and packaging requirements prior to shipment or storage.
  • Prepare products for shipment by assembling cartons, crates, pallets, and protective packaging materials.
  • Safelyoperateforklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials, inventory, and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Mount electrical components, wire duct, DIN rail, terminal blocks, and related panel components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and workmanship.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Meet established productivity, quality, and production schedule expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and process standardization initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Assembly, manufacturing, wiring, packaging, or related experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
  • Willingness and ability to learn assembly and packaging processes.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials or components up to 40 pounds.
