Position Summary
The Control Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
This position performs mechanical assembly, component installation, wiring, labeling, and inspection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assemble electrical control panels according to drawings, schematics, Bills of Material (BOMs), and work instructions.
- Mount electrical components, wire duct, DIN rail, terminal blocks, and related panel components.
- Cut, strip, terminate, route, and label wires according to specifications.
- Complete point-to-point wiring and electrical connections accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and workmanship.
- Identify and communicate material, drawing, or assembly issues.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and production schedule expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and process standardization initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Electrical assembly, manufacturing, wiring, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Experience in electrical controls, industrial automation, or manufacturing preferred.
- Willingness and ability to learn electrical control panel assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to follow drawings, instructions, and established processes.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and follow-through.
- Ability to identify and communicate problems effectively.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working at assembly stations.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for wiring, assembly, and tool operation.
- Ability to read detailed drawings, labels, and technical documentation.
- Ability to distinguish wire colors and component markings.
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials or components up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
