Are you an experienced machine operator? OR are you looking for a production position in a clean climate-controlled environment? Walsworth-Eau Claire is looking for talented individuals like you to join their growing team!

We are hiring for the following full-time shift:

Thursday
- Saturday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Three 12-hour shifts)

The training schedule for this position would be Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Job Summary:

As a Bindery
- Operator II you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment. The equipment operated includes, but is not limited to:
Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders.

Required Systems/Applications:

AS400 or Monarch

Essential Functions:
  • Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
  • Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
  • Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
  • Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
  • Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate counts.
  • Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
  • Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
  • Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
  • Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
  • Ability to work required overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.
  • May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
  • May require specific vision abilities that include close vision.
  • May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.
  • May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months in a Bindery role
