OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Additive Manufacturing Finishing Technician to join our production team. This position plays an important role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production by finishing cast parts to meet required specifications, inspecting parts for quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and keeping a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
Responsibilities- Use finishing techniques, tools, and equipment to make cast parts identical to master parts.
- Visually and dimensionally inspect parts before shipping to ensure repeatable quality.
- Understand different levels of finish and the methods needed to achieve them.
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and support the company’s Quality Management System.
- Support training efforts and contribute to a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Ability to visually inspect parts and identify quality issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
- Reliable and regular attendance is required.
- Prior manufacturing, finishing, assembly, plastics, machining, or quality inspection experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry tools or materials throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Ability to support plant operations in a 24-hour, 5-day-per-week production environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
This position is performed in a manufacturing/production environment and requires hands-on work with tools, materials, and finished parts. Team members are expected to follow safety procedures, quality standards, and supervisor instructions at all times.
