Position Summary: The Receiving & Shipping Associate adds value to BAPI and the Materials Team by ensuring Production has the raw materials necessary to build BAPI products by promptly receiving raw material and moving to the correct inventory location. In addition, the Receiving and Shipping Associate supports the Shipping Cell by properly packaging products and correctly shipping BAPI products via commercial carriers.
In some instances, depending on production needs, this individual may assist on the production floor building products to specification and/or assisting with monthly inventory.

Receiving and Shipping Associate Principle Responsibilities:
Receive BAPI raw material and parts
Promptly receive raw material and parts by verifying proper count and condition using shipping paperworkCorrectly enter material receiving information into the purchasing systemCorrectly label material and parts and then promptly move items to the appropriate inventory location, and rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) or First Expired, First Out (FEFO), where applicable.Work with purchasing and the production planner to resolve any material receipt issuesParticipate with inventory management using established inventory management systemShip BAPI products correctly via commercial carriers
Pack BAPI products in a quality manner for shipment to customers without damageShip packages using commercial software (UPS, Fed Ex, Speedee, etc…)Work with Customer Service and Production Scheduler to resolve any shipping issuesWork with Picker and Printer to resolve any order issuesPerform picking operation: picking products to order, verifying the correct part numbers and quantities have been pickedWork with Supervisor:
Inform when shipping supplies may be running low and Maintain Finished Goods Inventory organized by locationReport inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or non-conforming materials to the supervisorCommunicate with appropriate individual in the Materials Dept. if inventory locations require updateBuilds products to specification
Follow the direction of Trainers and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for each taskFollow the direction of Cell Leaders for what is worked on and whenUse the appropriate tool or tools for each jobConsult the appropriate BOM and on-line print before proceeding with each taskSolder, strip and crimp wires, pot (apply waterproofing materials), calibrate, and assemble as directed.Use time wisely and move from task to task efficientlyConsult sufficient online and paper documentation to do accurate in-process inspections for self and othersTransitions from jobs within cells and is able to perform duties in 2-3 cellsCooperates in the overall task of getting products shipped on timeFollows Instructions for participation in inventory
Depending on the area assigned, it is expected that during inventory the employee will accurately count parts, correctly document quantity counted, and may also audit counts of others or help scanning productContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.
